EXPLORING OUTCAST
Abstract
Tail-drop queues, coupled with asymmetric traffic flow to a single output, causes flows in ports with fewer flows to lose out on throughput. This issue occurs in a demonstration topology as well as a Fat Tree. We further show that routing style does not necessarily help alleviate this issue.
